Recently I was watching a YouTube video on the Life of Yogananda and suddenly a grainy B&W shot went by briefly, showing the Guru standing on a hill somewhere. Immediately this whole painting popped into my inner eye and I knew I had to put it on canvas. His features are very obscure..I wanted the gesture of his body, so apparent in the original photo – to be ‘it’, as a silouette against an outrageous moon. I think it works. You be the judge.
